ME ME ME!
Most of you will know that along with expanding the salon this year; I am going to be a bride this summer!
So what does that mean for my hair? I have ALWAYS been an advocate for hair strength and health - but this summer I want to take it to the next level. If you too are getting married this year here are some hints and tips to get the most from your hair on your wedding day.
Being lucky enough to get my hands on some Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner I will be adding this into my weekly regime. I currently shampoo my hair every 5 days (ish).
Having dampened my hair down and applied Olaplex No 3 Treatment for at least 10 minutes I will use this to shampoo and condition the treatment out. I always pick a rainy Sunday sat by the fire to get the most from my treatments (and maybe a cheeky pinot noir too!).
MOROCCANOIL TREATMENT. ALWAYS.
On the alternating wash I will use Moroccanoil Repair Shampoo, Treatment for 10 minutes and then seal the cuticle with Moroccanoil Repair Conditioner. I follow this with Moroccanoil Original Treatment DAILY - my hair wants allllllll the moisture.
I moisturise my face day and night - so why wouldn't I moisturise my hair?!
HEATED STYLING TOOLS. I'M ON CLOUD NINE.
Every single one of my tools are Cloud Nine; irons, wands, dryer and rollers. I will NEVER put more than 150 degrees on my hair (even on my crazy, wirey, frizzy lizzy hair).
That steam you see filling your bedroom when you style your hair? That's most of the moisture that was left in your hair - and what happens when your hair has no moisture? It goes looking for moisture and thus, your straight hair goes frizzy or your perfectly curled hair goes straight and flat. NO THANK YOU!
And of course, before any heated styling I apply Moroccanoil Perfect Defense first for guaranteed heat protection.
DO YOU DETANGO?
Every time I brush my hair it is only ever with one of the legendary Detango detangling hairbrushes. How did we ever even use to brush our hair?! And just because (my name's Sarah - it means princess), I have two - a wet one in the shower to brush through treatments and conditioners; and a dry one - 'cos drying one everytime I need to brush my hair in the morning is waaaaaay too much admin for this princess!
TRIM THOSE ENDS GIRL.
You will notice on all of our colouring services in the salon that we include a haircut. If those roots are long enough to be coloured? Those ends are ratty enough to be trimmed! Aim for AT LEAST a trim every 8 weeks.

LOTS OF LOVE AND MOROCCANOIL ALWAYS,
